California Acupressure Practitioner Accused of Sexually Assaulting Four Clients

A 73-year-old California man recognized in his local community as a healer has been arrested and charged with four felony counts of sexual assault involving four separate clients. According to police and court records, Pal Singh was taken into custody by the Selma Police Department on September 8 following an investigation into treatment sessions conducted at his residence in Selma, California.

Authorities stated that Singh was operating what law enforcement described as an unlicensed chiropractic and alternative healing practice from his home. Investigators noted that Singh had developed a following within the local Sikh community, where he was known as a healer, and that his practice attracted clients from outside the immediate area. Online reviews and police accounts indicated that some individuals traveled long distances from other parts of California, and even from out of state or country, to seek his services.

The criminal case originated after the Selma Police Department received multiple complaints from clients alleging inappropriate touching during appointments at the residence. Commander Tim Cannon of the Selma Police Department told reporters that investigators were ultimately able to secure an arrest following several client complaints. The resulting charges encompass alleged incidents occurring across a timeline from June 2023 through July 2025.

Law enforcement officials have indicated that the investigation remains active as authorities examine whether additional individuals may have been affected. Commander Cannon stated that police believe there could be other victims who have not yet come forward, potentially extending outside Fresno County due to the wide geographic draw of Singh's client base. Investigators have received secondhand information regarding possible additional allegations, though those accounts are still being evaluated.

Court documents submitted by defense attorney Eddie Ruiz provide background on Singh's life and career history. According to the filings, Singh became a Sikh priest while living in India in his mid-20s and continued his religious service after relocating to the United States. A submitted character letter noted that he served as a priest at the Sikh Center of the Pacific Coast in Selma from 2010 to 2016. Ruiz's filings state that Singh later transitioned into practicing acupressure, having received initial training in India and subsequent online instruction after moving to California.

Neighbors reported observing a steady stream of families and visitors arriving at the residence for appointments. Social media profiles associated with Singh also featured media documenting clients who visited the property for treatments.

Following his arrest, Singh was released from custody after posting bail. Court filings from his defense counsel indicated that his release was sought to allow him to continue working, support his family, and participate in preparing his legal defense. Singh has entered a plea of not guilty to all four felony counts against him. His next scheduled appearance in court is set for October 27.
