Chris Brown, Amy Gerard and Jack Charles Named as Sydney Trio Replacing Kyle and Jackie O on ARN

Radio giant ARN has unveiled a new three-person presenting team to take over the Sydney broadcast slot previously held by long-time radio co-presenters Kyle Sandilands and Jackie "O" Henderson. According to reporting from ABC Australia, the new breakfast lineup features television personality Chris Brown, occasional KIIS fill-in host Amy Gerard, and former Nova star Jack Charles.

The newly formed trio is scheduled to begin broadcasting together on November 9. The announcement marks the first major programming reveal by ARN following the cancellation of the Kyle and Jackie O show, which came to an abrupt end after an on-air dispute between the former hosts in February.

ARN chief executive Michael Stephenson stated that the newly revamped lineup was carefully designed to combine major public names with fresh broadcast talent. Stephenson emphasized that the network continues to operate the country's biggest radio brand and expressed confidence that the incoming team is building a compelling offering for listeners.

For Chris Brown, best known to television audiences for his work on programs including Bondi Vet, The Living Room, and I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, stepping into the radio role represents a major career shift. Brown had previously been widely touted as a leading forerunner to join the network's program. Commenting on his appointment, Brown described waking up with the city and bringing warmth, real life, and humour to listeners as a true dream come true.

Amy Gerard brings prior familiarity with the network to the new partnership, having previously served as an occasional KIIS fill-in host. Gerard noted that the chemistry among the three new hosts already felt completely natural and unpredictable, joking that there was a strong likelihood the team would be entirely unhinged before most of their audience had finished their morning coffee. Meanwhile, Jack Charles joins the program after formally announcing his resignation from rival network Nova earlier in September, expressing that he is thoroughly pumped for the opportunity.

The departure of Sandilands and Henderson in February concluded a 27-year tenure on the airwaves for the duo, who stood as ARN's highest-paid talent. The pair had previously signed a massive 10-year contract reportedly valued at $200 million in 2023. Following their dismissal, both hosts pursued legal action against their former employer. ARN reached a $12 million legal settlement with Kyle Sandilands in June, while Jackie O Henderson's lawsuit remains before the courts. In the wake of his exit, Sandilands launched a subscription-based digital program titled Kyle Sandilands Live in August, featuring New South Wales Premier Chris Minns as his debut guest.

ARN Media currently operates a vast network comprising 58 radio stations across 33 markets, encompassing major brands such as KIIS, GOLD, CADA, and digital platform iHeart. While Monday's announcement settles the lineup for Sydney, ARN confirmed that a separate presenting team will soon be announced to take over the outgoing hosts' broadcast schedule in Melbourne.
